LAURENT AND SARA

Fresh from Toulouse, is one of the latest teaching partnerships in France, Laurent Meirieu and Sara Bédard-Goulet, who are coming to teach at GNSH for the very first time.

Sara and Laurent met in Toulouse, at the beginning of 2008. Thanks to their different cultures and different dance backgrounds, this couple surprises with its sensuality, sensitivity and energy.

They are used to perform in different competition divisions, such as Jack'n Jill, Strictly lindy or Solo charleston.

They are also part of the Freelance team, which won 1st place in Grenoble and 3rd place in Barcelona.

Laurent was also a boogie woogie dancer and performer for two years, but he quickly gave up this dance to be fully involved in lindy hop, entering a team (Tagada Swing Swing, then Freelance).

He is known for his high energy level which really needs to be channelled ! Fortunately, Sara is the perfect partner to tame him and use his energy to make their dance a great thing.

Laurent is particularly fond of Charleston and jazz solo moves ; he has created two jazz routines that he taught in workshops in France. He's also used to teach lindy hop at the university since 3 years.

Sara took her first lindy lesson in 2002 and became a teacher a year later at Cat's Corner Studio in Montreal, where she taught for 4 years before moving to Toulouse, France.

She has been a member of the Tagada Swing Swing team, winner of several european awards and is now part of the Freelance team in Toulouse.

Although she enjoys performing with her friends and occasionaly entering in Jack n' Jill and Strictly lindy contests, she likes very much social dancing. She cares to connect with her partner and make every dance a great experience.

Together, they truly have a passion for swing dancing and care to learn more about the endless possibilities of this dance and are constantly working on finding the best ways to spread out their knowledge to students.
