MIKEY PEDROZA

For the very first time in Euorpe and seen first in the UK, at GNSH, is Mikey Pedorza, from Orange County, USA.

Mikey has been dancing and performing for the past 10 years. The majority of those years have been dedicated to the understanding and preservation of classic American dances known to the masses as Swing Dancing.

These Swing Dances include: Charleston, Lindy Hop, Balboa, Shag, and Traditional Blues. Along with the classic Solo Jazz Dance and Shake Blues Dances.

He has competed in and won many national level competitions in such places as: Los Angeles, Cleveland, Nashville, Seattle, Denver, Hawaii, Minneapolis, New York, Stamford, Phoenix, and Washington D.C.

Mikey has also taught at many national, swing dance, instructional weekends. His teaching focuses on lead and follow techniques in every sense of those words.

With focal points on connection, body leading, movement, frame and all out having fun with your dancing. Now he would like to share his unique yet classic style with you. And hopes that you will be able to feel for this American art form as much as he does.

At GNSH 2010 Mikey will be teaching with his dance partner Nikki Marvin. They met in 2005, as they pulled each other into a Jack and Jill contest at Sugar Foot Stomp and won first place, even though they never danced together before.  Something special clicked with their styles, heights, and passions.  Since then, they decided to do more contests and performances and to teach together.

Watch out for this dude, as he's set to light up the dance floor !
