She has won impressive champion titles at such prestigious competitions as the Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown (ULHS), the American Lindy Hop Championships, and the U.S. Open Swing Dance Championships.

When she's not traveling in the name of triple steps, decorating cakes, or loving libraries, Naomi lives in D.C. and spends most of her life not being Nina Gilkenson, despite the large amounts of people that think she is.

Along the way she dreamt up a routine she wanted to try out, which ended up being the founding routine for a small team, that has now grown into the international acclaimed "Silver Shadows".

In addition, she has also been fortunate to help start and run The Jam Cellar, which is Washington DC's renowned weekly dance.

Finally we cannot withhold, that not only is Naomi an inspirational dancer and teacher, but she is also a talented singer, possesing an amazing voice..

Naomi will be working with Peter Strom, over the weekend and we look forward them, bringing their unique brand of instruction to GNSH 2010.
