POL AND DANIELA

Straight from the hot bed of Barcelona, we have Pol Prats and Daniela Zabaleta, who are one of the top Lindy Hoppers in Barcelona.

They both started dancing Lindy Hop six years ago and haven't stopped travelling to learn from the best teachers and dancers around the world.

They have been teaching regularly in Barcelona since 2006 and they've also been teaching in Porto, the UK, Toulouse and Zürich!.

In their classes they focus on body awareness, natural movement and the utter joy of dancing.

Daniela's style is strongly influenced by her love of vintage jazz as well as having more than 10 years of experience in modern jazz and contemporary. She defines herself as a perpetual student of dance and loves spending hours and hours watching videos on YouTube learning new steps and getting inspired by dancers of all styles.

She won 1st place in the solo charleston competition at the Crazy Rhythm Charleston in Toulouse (France), 1st place at the Jack and Jill at Swing Brother Swing in Bologna (Italy) and 2nd place at the Jack and Jill at Camp Jitterbug in Seattle (USA) among other titles.

Not many people know that but Pol once used to be part of the national rowing team... but that was years ago. Since he started dancing Lindy Hop his interests have changed completely but not his drive into competition and practice.

He's been taking classes of tap dancing, modern jazz, percussion, ballet and african dances in order to become a better Lindy Hop dancer. He was a member of the Barcelona Jazz Cats and has achieved 1st place at the Chelsea Studios competition in New York (USA), 1st place at the Sitges Swing Jack and Jill competition in Sitges (Catalonia) and 2nd place at the Goodnight Sweetheart 'Euro Lindy Hop' Jack and Jill, among other titles

Together, they truly have a passion for swing dancing and care to learn more about the endless possibilities of this dance and are constantly working on finding the best ways to spread out their knowledge to students.
