RICKARD EKSTRAND

Hailing from Sweden, Rickard is the man to show us what happens when Lindy Hop meets Hip Hop.

Rikard, who is making his 7th appearence on the GNSH line up, has been dancing since the tender age of 7 and started Lindy Hop in 98.

A year later he had his first competition and has won several national competition titles in both Lindy Hop and Boogie Woogie, where in 2003 he achieved 2nd place in the World Lindy Hop

Championships, with the Swedish National Lindy Hop team.

He then, focused on streetdancing, as one of the members in the Swedish streetdance-company “FIRSTCLASS”, specialising in funkstyle dances like Locking, Boogaloo/Popping and Breaking.

However, more recently, he took FIRST PLACE at the jazz jam, has started to compete and teach around the world and has become one of the 'Harlem Hotshots', one of the worlds leading Authentic Jazz Dance group.

Rickard is no stranger to GNSH either, as he has been teaching both streetdance and Lindy Hop at GNSH since 2004..
